Back Ack!

David has third level disc degenerative disease including a slipped disc! Ack! Basically that means that the three discs from the bottom are deteriorating and the second one up has slipped out causing pain and numbness down David's leg and in his foot.

He's had on and off back problems for a few years and this week the pain became nearly unbearable. He'll have a steroid shot in a few days and then must rest.

Elijah, on the other hand, is doing great. He laughs and plays and enjoys his toys. He discovered Elmo (he sings the La, la, la... La, la, la... Elmo's World along with the video) and Thomas the Train.

I know David will appreciate your prayers on his back recovery. Have you seen what he has to lug around for Eli? It's a lot. Not to mention his trips to the library with his backpack of returns and new check outs. Oh dear, he's going to have to figure something else out.

Sophia is enjoying SUMMER!

Love you all,

Oh dear, I am sorry for your pain David! Back problems are the worst! A lot of people love their chiropractors...

I will pray for your recovery. Remember, I am home in the summer so I can help out!

So sorry David! I'm on crutches from my knee surgery and have found that carts or anything with wheels help a lot. Will pray for a speedy recovery. Take care of yourself!

David, David, David ! Back pain I would not wish on my worse enemy so I know how that pain is. Please do get the shot, you may think you can't but it will help, I have had a number of them through the years..and you know how old I am. Rest when you can. I love you and so sorry about your back pain. Glad Eli can sing la,la,la & Sophia can SING!!!

So sorry David is having trouble with his back. Uncle Pete has degenerative disc disease too like David and now he has a broken arm like Eli. The Ramirez blood runs deep. Hope you feel better soon. Am so happy to hear of Sophia's birthday party--summer birthdays are hard. Eli is so cute and doing well. All of you are in our thoughts and prayers. Pete and Linda
